Jenkins Sugar Group is an active player in the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) sugar futures contracts, as well as the London sugar market, and represents a full spectrum of commercial sugar interests. Jenkins Sugar Group’s broad customer base and integral participation in both the physical and futures markets allow for a unique and useful perspective and a full understanding of the often complex world and regional sugar markets.

Frank Jenkins

Frank Jenkins, president of Jenkins Sugar Group, has over 20 years of experience as a broker and consultant focusing mainly on the US/NAFTA sugar markets. Prior to founding Jenkins Sugar Group in 1993, he worked on the sugar desk of ED&F Man in New York from 1983 to 1986, and served as vice president in Merrill Lynch Private Client Group in New York from 1986 to 1993. Frank was honored to serve as president of the Sugar Club of New York and has been a featured speaker at numerous industry and USDA sponsored forums.

Ken Lorenze

Ken most recently served as Associate Director, Sugar and Cocoa for Kraft Foods North America and was responsible for purchasing for Kraft’s numerous separate divisions. Previously, he was Manager, Commodity Purchasing for Nabisco, Inc. and was responsible for coordinating the integration of the Nabisco and Kraft cocoa and sugar purchasing operations. Ken has served on the Sweetener Agricultural Technical Advisory Committee since 2001, and is the Chairman of the ICE Domestic Sugar Committee. Ken started his carreer in the sweetener industry in 1973 with Lorenze Brokerage Company, and is thus no stranger to the water in which we swim.

In addition to his considerable experience and knowledge-base, Ken brings with him the many relationships built and nurtured over his career. His addition to Jenkins Sugar Group will further us towards our goal of providing the best possible service to each of our clients.

Jeffrey Dobrydney

Jeffrey Dobrydney, trader, joined Jenkins Sugar Group in 2005 and has been growing professionally ever since that time. A graduate of Fordham University, he has quickly developed in his understanding of world and NAFTA region’s sugar market fundamentals.

Jeff manages futures order flow for Jenkins Sugar Group’s trade and fund clients on the ICE trading platform and on the LIFFE, and serves as the company’s disaster recovery, anti-money laundering and compliance officer, interfacing with the National Futures Association Jeff authors the Morning Sugar Update for the group a compilation of fundamental and technical reporting on the world sugar market, as well as numerous other reports and analytical pieces.

Eric Bergman

Eric Bergman, assistant trader, joined Jenkins Sugar Group in 2012, and has been growing professionally ever since. A recent graduate of the University of Albany, he has been quickly developing his knowledge of the world and NAFTA sugar market, as well as the cocoa market. Eric currently handles the middle and back office functions for Jenkins Sugar Group. Prior to Jenkins Sugar Group, Eric worked in the commodities and derivatives operations department for Morgan Stanley Capital Group and as an institutional equity trader on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.

Stephen Ward

Stephen Ward, futures and options trader, joined Jenkins Sugar Group in 2012. Prior to joining Jenkins Sugar Group, Steve co-founded JSG Futures, a futures and execution firm on the New York Coffee, Sugar, and Cocoa Exchange (NYBOT), serving on many committees. In addition to an impressive depth of knowledge of the futures and options markets, Steve maintains close relationships with numerous market makers in the industry, placing him among the top liquidity-providers for sugar options.

Chris Cody

Christopher Cody, physical and futures trader, joined Jenkins Sugar Group in 2012 and has been building up our physical world sugar trade since. He brings a wealth of experience to the firm for trading physicals in the world market. Chris joined the firm from RJ O’Brien, where he was a Vice President of soft commodities for three years. Prior to RJ O’Brien, Chris worked at BNP also as a Vice President of soft commodities. From 1981 until 2005, Chris worked for Marc Rich Intl, ED&F Man, Czarnikow-Rionda, and J. Bauml and Company. The relationships he has brought with him are significantly beneficial to Jenkins Sugar Group and he is looking forward to continue helping us further our goals.
